Program Description:
CCIS students at the University of Waikato love the relaxed atmosphere of the Waikato campus and the city of Hamilton. With a population of 150,000, Hamilton is New Zealand's fourth largest city and is well served with parks, gardens, and scenic river walks. The city has an active music, art, and café culture, all with a distinctly New Zealand and Pacific flavor.

The Waikato region offers many of New Zealand's major outdoor attractions less than one and a half hours drive from the University. Popular among them include excellent surfing and swimming beaches, forest parks, lakes, thermal pools, and limestone caves. The major North Island's mountain ski areas are only three hours away.

Summer programs at University of Waikato include:
  • Creative Filmmaking
  • Enhancing Sporting Performance (optional Chiefs Rugby Club High Performance Add-On Package)
  • New Zealand Marine
  • Science
