The Jordanstown campus of the University of Ulster is at Newtownabbey, County Antrim, just seven miles north of Belfast, the capital city of Northern Ireland. Newtownabbey itself, surrounded by new housing developments, groups several old mill villages and towns along the north shore of the Belfast Lough, an inlet of the Irish Sea. The campus is a self-contained village on 114 acres and students are able to stroll down to the green banks of the Lough or visit the nearby Jordanstown Lough Shore Park.

Jordanstown is recommended for students interested in Business Studies and Marketing, Communications (heavily includes public relations and advertising courses), Engineering, Health Sciences, or Sports Studies. The Communication department also includes interesting modules in Health Communications, Commercial Business, and Linguistics.
