Located in downtown Buenos Aires, the Universidad del Salvador is a private institution of Jesuit heritage. It was the first university in Argentina to engage in international student mobility. Today, USAL has over 200 cooperation and exchange agreements worldwide and receives about 500 international exchange students per year. More than 30,000 study at USAL, in undergraduate and graduate degree programs. USAL offers strong programs in Medicine and Health-related disciplines, Law, Social Communication, International Relations and Political Science, Literature, History, and Business.

The Programa de Immersion Cultural (PIC) delivers a coordinated interdisciplinary study of Argentina and the region for University level students who have completed an Elementary level of Spanish. The program is made up of two parts: an intensive introductory 3-week course followed by a full time interdisciplinary semester program that includes a mandatory language and culture course plus three elective classes. Students may choose these courses from a selection on Argentine culture, theater, history, economy, social and politics of Argentina and the Southern Cone region.
