La Merced, which is in the heart of the city of Murcia, Espinardo, just north of the city, San Javier, which is 45 km east of the city (specializing in Sports Science), and the Health Science campus, which is south of the city. Founded in 1915, the University of Murcia is a public comprehensive university located southeast Spain (45 km away from the Mediterranean sea) in the vibrant and historical city of Murcia. The Language and Culture program is a semester program in Spanish Language & Hispanic Culture. Students may follow this program with another semester of regular university courses.
