Program Description:
Ibaraki University located in Mito city the capital of Ibaraki state and located 65 miles from the heart of Tokyo. Mito allows students to study in Japan without paying the high accommodation rate in in Tokyo. Ibaraki University was established in 1949 as one of Japan's national Universities. Ibaraki University consists of 5 colleges, 4 graduate programs across three different campuses (Mito, Hitachi, and Ami). 

Ibaraki University offers an extensive Japanese language program for all levels of Japanese language learners. Non-Japanese speakers also have the options to take Japanese culture related courses taught entirely in English. 

Do note the academic calendar for Ibaraki University differs from MSUs: 1st semester April through August and 2nd semester October through February.
