Åbo (Turku in Finnish) is Finland's oldest university town. Åbo is a city of history, arts and culture. There are many museums, theaters, dance companies, a philharmonic orchestra etc. The Turku Castle and the Turku Cathedral are both landmarks in Finnish history. The famous archipelago is just outside the city. The city is located 160 kilometers west of Helsinki, the capital.
